Need help dating a top hat

The inner circumference of the hat is 21 inches. It's about 7 inches tall from the bottom to the top.

The high crown and curled brim puts it into the 19th century - I think mid 1870s to late 1880s would be my estimate, but dating men's hats are not my speciality...
