Need help dating and valuing White Stag women's 3-piece set

Bought this outfit about 10 years ago at a vintage shop. Was told an elderly woman passed away and her children brought all her clothes in. I have never worn the outfit and it is in perfect condition. Tag looks similar to late 1960's but still seems different. Not sure what it's worth. Any input would be much appreciated.

Early 70s for sure - 1971ish. Hot pants and halter top, although very tasteful, with piazza, or elephant leg, or wide leg, or patio pants... those wide legs had a whole bunch of names...
