I have a pair of antique shoes--I'm guessing late Victorian to Edwardian?--but I'd love to narrow it down. They are leather with (I think) steel beads. They have "Sommer and Kaufmann" (a SF shoe store) written on the interior.

Hi,

Those are beautiful shoes. I think they are moving out of the Edwardian era and into the WWI or 'Teens era. We have a VFG trade member here who, among other things, is a shoe historian. He might come along and give us an exact date.

Classic Edwardian - 1905 - 1915. If they were older the toe would be more elongated, and if they were newer the heels would be a little more hourglass shaped.
