I bought these shoes because of how the fabric is sewn at the sole of the shoe and under the fabric Tuttle is is engraved into bottom sole. ideally wish I had the matching dress......

I agree about the shoe stretchers - PLEASE REMOVE THEM, they are distorting the shoe shape. I have to say though that those are the weirdest shoes I have seen... They are earlier c. 1905ish but I can't help but wonder if its some home-made adaptation. Is the upper fabric sewn into the seam between the heel and upper? It is possible to pry off the heel and add the fabric and then put the heel back on, but its not an easy task or something that can be done without possibly ruining the shoes in the process. What bothers me is the way the fabric is bunched under the toes - that is very weird and doesn't quite make sense. Very unusual... there is a story with them, but I don't know what that story is.
