Need Help Dating Coat

[vs1999]

My recent estate purchase was this lovely tweed type coat. I need help dating it. There is no fabric content tag. The tags are Belk-Leggett and the other tag says Custom ETTE by Youthcraft. There is a long pleat down the back. I love this coat, but don't know how to date it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Pics will follow.

Yes, I, too, agree with late 50s, and it's a very nice coat! I find that the coats of the 50s tend to have such lovely details as yours--nice darting, stylish topstitching, and unexpected seams, pleats, etc. It's my favorite era for coats!

vs1999, your coat has a distinctive neckline that was popular in the late '50s, and rare at other times: I think it's called funnel neck or something similar.
