I bought this dress because I loved the long peplum and ruching detail at the waist. It gave off this Linda Evans/Joan Collins/Dynasty vibe, although it doesn't have huge shoulder pads. I was thinking perhaps 1980s/early 90s. The RN suggest mid-70s (using the somewhat questionable dating formula). There is a size/care tag, but no brand label. It has buttons and a long zipper in back. There are no shoulder pads, but it does have those sewn-in little half circles of gathered fabric to give the shoulder some definition (which I didn't take photos of). A few questions:
1. What era is this dress from, or is it contemporary?
2. What *are* those little gathered half circles called?
3. When was split sizing (9/10) discontinued?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
