Need help dating these boots

The inside label says "Pavel - Made in England". That is about all I know. I have found a few Pavel shoes online that say "Jose Pavel" with the same font as mind. I have a feeling mine are older based on the style.

I could swear that Pavel is Spanish, and why he is making boots in England when leather production is shifting to Spain and Brazil at the time these boots were made is really weird... maybe it has something to do with export and customs, or quotas of foreign made items into England? Anyway... the boots are early 70s. 1971ish would be my guess based on heel and toe shape. They're nice

Yeah, I forgot to mention that but the few shoes that I came online did say Made in Spain - but they also said Jose Pavel, not just Pavel. Although it is the same designer. Very weird. Thanks for your help!!!!

I love those boots, you just gave me a real flashback...they really remind me of a pair I owned back then...except mine were more of a beige coloring. I remember they were light as a feather and the suede was super soft and they were comfy!

They are amazing! I would keep them if they fit me! The suede is very soft and still in great condition. Thank you
