Need Help Dating This Capelet

I found this adorable white cotton capelet. First one I have ever sold. Awesome detail. Is this 70s?

It might be 80s.

Despite being shown on an adult this looks like a child's Christening cape. I've seen similar Edwardian capes. It could be also be Mexican - is that why 70's is suggested? Might have religious connotations. If possible a close up on the detail and threadwork would be good.

Batenburg Lace was very "trendy" in the early 80s, both in clothing as well as home decor items..

Is there any label in it?
