Would like to know more details like for collared cape that was my mother's. She was born in 1926. I feel it is from the 1960's. The fabric inside and out is in excellent condition. Would like to sell and pass on to someone who could enjoy it, but have no idea how to value it. After searching the RN type (99947) from the tag, did learn the company was Space Age, Inc New York, NY.

Thank you for your time, and any help would be most appreciated.

HI,

I agree we need to see the label close up, as it looks rather recent, not at all 1960's. Also, the cape looks like it is made of a devore' velvet or voided velvet type fabric, which, while popular in the 1920's and early 1930's, was not used for contemporary clothing until the 1990's. I suspect your lovely garment is not old, but it is beautiful.

Jennifer, could you please give us a close-up photo of the label...that will help a lot to id the time frame.

Attached is a picture of the only label on the garment. Thank you for your help!

Having trouble uploading picture probably because the way I programmed my camera. See if you can Control Click on this link to view it. If not, I will take another picture with normal settings.
