Need help dating this evening dress 30s 40s lightening zipper

This dress came from a 101 yrs. Old ladies estate peach looks like chiffon but not sure, she was from Canada and lightening zippers were made in Canada I believe, any ideas, looks like the 30s 40s era maybe I don't know

I agree, it looks 1940ish on the nose.

Thanks so much ! It is in great condition except for some green from the metal snaps where it was folded for a long time need to figure out how to remove that, debating on rather to sell or just keep it lol!! It is much prettier in person, I believed it was 40s but I needed so other opinions thanks again !!
