Need help dating this lace jacket

Good question CV: it's an interesting one. Is it made of nylon lace? Any labels? I'm thinking '70s but it's hard to tell just from the piccies.

When I read your description I though '50s-early '60s but seeing it, it looks more modern than that.

Hi Nicole,
It has no labels at all. Somehow the lace does not seem to be nylon. It feels like stiff cotton or something like that..

Hello GoldeAge,
I will check the finishing on the jacket once I get home from work. From what I remember, there was no overlocking. For some reason my gut says "way before 70's"- and I may be completely wrong because I am a vintage newbie:-)

Hi glamoursurf, Yes I am in. I was in Palo Alto (Stanford) till last year and just moved to Cupertino in end of last year.. Good to hear from you..

This is a bed jacket. They are still being made today and you can find lots of examples online some not too dissimilar to this one although this is could be any decade from the 1960's on. Knowing the lining fabric would help a bit.

I used to have a small collection of bed jackets dating from the 1930's.
