Need Help dating this Paul Sachs Original Little Black Dress and more info on the designer

Hello! I stumbled across this gorgeous vintage Paul Sachs Original dress at Goodwill. I believe it is made from silk, at least the inner lining is.

Can anyone help with the dating?
Also, I'm having trouble finding info on this designer. Do you know anything about him?

There is a court case the company was involved in and u might find some clues in the case summary that can help you reasearch. It is few links down. I think you might find clues to help with keyword searches and maybe even find out when company was founded etc. Really pretty dress. Good luck.

closet-space, I think your dress may be 1950s and my googling has turned up three dresses with the same label, all from the same decade. You can probably find more.
