Need help dating two pairs of shoes 30s? 40s?

Hello Again

I have a few pairs of shoes I need help dating. This first pair was made by Rice-O'Neil. St. Louise, New York, London.

The second pair I can't quite read the label except that it starts with De- with an A on the end. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

The gold pair is almost dateless because that style looks essentially the same for about 20 years beginning in the mid 30s (with the exception of 1942-46 when they weren't making gold leather evening sandals in the U.S., or anywhere for that matter...) The heel looks postwar to me, and the toe shape is pretty round, so I would suggest about 1948 - 52 - that pinky beige lining to the upper is also very typical late 40s - early 50s.

The purple pair are also about 1948-52. I think I recall seeing that exact pair in a Montgomery Ward's catalogue from about 1951... I might still have that issue in fact. That style of shoe is not made for a hot and sexy young woman - it was intended for a middle aged, middle class woman and I see her feet swelled and she cut the leather at the throat to expand the size.

I am no expert, but I think the second pair is 1940's and the first pair is 40's as well but a little bit older.

Either way, they're both to die for!
