Need help dating vintage coat (and fabric help)

I think this coat dates from the 1960s/1970s, but I'd love to be sure (and narrow it down a little more specifically). Also, I'd love any thoughts people have on fabric. It might be wool, but it feels a little "finer" than wool (if that makes sense). The coat has a "Jaeger" tag and "Abercrombie and Fitch" tag, but no fabric/care tags.

I think it is late 60s, and may be camel hair. Jaeger also made cashmere sweaters, it could be a wool/cashmere blend. Check the lining and inside pockets for any additional tags?

I agree with Jen - is it really light for a coat? I vote cashmere although Jaegar are known for their camel fabrics so it could be that too - if light, cashmere, if not light, camel I think.

My vote is for early '70s on the date, judging by the large collar and styling.

Can you show the care label please Persephone? That is an unusual place for it to be located! The label looks earlier than 70s (I associate that plush satin with 50s/60s garments) but both Jaeger and the coat tend to classic styles.
