Need Help Dating Vintage Sweater

Hi everyone! I have this really great winter sweater I bought a week ago. There is only one label, and no matter how much I was searching I haven't come up with anything. (I almost wish there was a class I could take to improve my research skills!.. but they say college in general does the job!)

here is an ad for Nor_Pol from 1965, but your sweater looks earlier to me. The label & font look more 40s, but of course that could have been used for years.

I would have though 60s - just my gut feeling. Can't find anything in the "Everday fashions of the 60s" from the Sears catalogs, but one of my vintage Swiss mail order catalogs (1968) seems to contain some sweaters with mock necks. It's hard to tell from the images, in some of them ther are jackets worn with the sweaters, but it looks as though.

Brenda, thank you for finding that! The sweater looked 50's, or 60's to me, as well but the label definitely made me question that. There aren't any other labels other than the one pictured, except when double checking there is a number on the bottom that says "36."

As far as mock necks go, here's a picture of Audrey Hepburn from Funny Face (1957)
