Need help dating vintage women's pantsuit

I rarely run across older women's pantsuits, so I wanted to run this by you all. It's by Tabak of California, and the tag looks older than the 50s/60s tags on the label resource. I'm thinking the pantsuit has to be 30s or 40s. It's a twill weave, possibly including linen (it's cool to the touch), in a brown and light yellow plaid. I'm including lots of pictures, so people can see all the details.

Any help people can offer with dating or with fabric would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. sorry for the orientation of some of the pics.

CUTE! I love these early pantsuits. Tabak was known for them too - part of the "California Lifestyle' It looks postwar to me and pre 1960s - maybe early fifties?

Yes, I'd like to put them in the late '40s to early '50s - they're lovely, and it looks like the pants have been taken in or (more likely) out at the centre back seam.

Thanks, Nicole and Mary Jane! It's definitely not wool (based on feel and fabric testing). I don't think it's pure rayon. It either is/contains linen, or is possibly a rayon cotton.
