Need help figuring out who made this top

Hello!!

I have been scouring the internet for hours, searching endlessly to find out what this tag says and who made it. It is 100% silk and has an RN # 59965. It also says Made in USA.

The RN is registered to a whole importer company called MAKLIHON MFG. CORP which appears to be still in existence. They import from China. They had a few trademarked brands but neither appear to be what’s on your label

Thanks! I was able to find that as well, but it's just so odd that the tag doesn't match it at all. I'm continuing the search today, this top is so nice that I'm determined to find out what it is and who made it!

According to this 1996 WWD article, Maklihon is/was a "private label manufacturer". The article mentions just two clothing lines - Jenni Max and Mak New York. Neither fits your label, unfortunately.

I bolded the name Russell Bennet because my first thought on your tag was Randy Bennett.
