This bag is from Binns in Middlesborough, taken over by house of Fraser i think in 1989. Its in immaculate condition, just sitting in a cupboard with original packaging. I discovered a small coin purse inside. I am hoping to use it in a charity fashion show for second chance clothing and wanted to give the audience some information on the bag. Any help or pointers where to look appreciated.
I Love that! Well, as Donna mentioned you have a date right there-1982, it does give me some late 70's vibes as well and very well could be. It looks like crochet with a hinged metal frame and a kiss lock closure. The matching coin pouch is adorable! The style is classic and was a popular one for DIYers over the years. I think it would go well with just about any era of fashion. Binn's has a rich history for sure- In April 1953, Binns Ltd was taken over by House of Fraser Ltd.- https://www.housefraserarchive.ac.uk/company/?id=c0564 And more here- https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/look-back-history-binns-teessiders-24122031
