Need help identifying and dating fur coats

Hello everyone!

This is my first post but I have already learned a lot from all of you. Thanks to everyone who share their knowledge in this forum.

I have three fur coats I need help with.

From what I gathered, the first one seems to be curly lamb with a mink collar (possibly 40s? 50s?), second seems like mink (clueless on date), and third might be beaver or mutton (ditto). I would very much appreciate any help.

Thanks!

You are correct on the first two. The third looks like it may be sheared muskrat with a coyote ruff, but the pictures are a little dark.

Hi there, nice pieces. The first is Persian lamb with a mink fur collar and based on the style, shape, lining, and label combined I'd date it to the 50s.
The second is mink and based on the style and label I'd date it to the 80s/90s,
The third is sheared muskrat with coyote fur trim. Based on the shape, label, button at the neckline, and portion of the lining shown surrounding the label, I'd date it to the 80s/90s. You see those points within the fur of the sheared muskrat? Those are the nose portions of each of the muskrats and the opposite ends are the rumps minus the tails which creates indentations that attach to the next points which are the noses of the following muskrats.

Thanks to both of you for the input.

Caryn, very interesting info about the muskrat fur. I was wondering what those points were.
