Hello, and thank you in advance for any information. I am new to the forum and intend on posting information rather than ask for assistance, but that is what got me here. I need some help with these pants. My father gave these to me recently, he got them from a great uncle, who got them from his father. They are very old, but have no tags whatsoever. I took as many detailed photos as I could. There is a handwritten 32 / 2 on one of the pockets written in pencil, and the small slit pocket on the front is for a pocketwatch. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

If you check the images from my original post up top, you will see that these button up, and a shot of the handwriting on the inside pocket (very faint)

I checked with a friend to make sure I didn't give you some bad info and forgot to report back to you - I apologize. He concurs with my thought thatt these are probably 1950s (maybe even 1960s). They appear to be a hunting or outdoor style trouser - something like L.L. Bean might have sold. The fabric of lining of the waistband and pocket material are a clue that they are newer rather than earlier as one might think because of the button fly style. I actually wonder if these could be L.L. Bean but without labels it is hard to prove.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about, check these images:
