Hello Laurel,Hello! Found this super cool coat at goodwill and it looks vintage but has no identifying tags but the print is pretty distinct. Anyone recognize this?
Hello Laurel,
It is such a low resolution photo, I don't suppose you have another.
Meanwhile it is lovely, there is something about it. I'm not convinced it is a retail item, more theatrical--a costume piece maybe???
can you add some pics of the interior construction?Hello! I’ll add some more closer up photos. I don’t think it’s a costume from its construction but you might be right because of lack of tags and no indications there were ever tags. I’m wondering if someone could time period the fabric for me...

Here are some more photos! And the shoulder are shaped like that but no shoulder pads. The fabric folds over when you close it and it creates that shape. How are the shoulders shaped? I see 1980's, also. Tell us a little more about the fabric and maybe a close up of it.

It’s definitely that raincoat material from the 90s that had a little sheen but definitely did not protect you from the rain lol. The pattern is really distinct though so wondering if it associated with a brand. Is this a rain coat? Looks 1980s, but hard to tell.
Hello Laurel,
Much better, great and it has a hood.
I remain convinced it is theatrical or closer to the mark a student piece of one of the fashion colleges and done well.
I look and see a throwback, a nod to Banyans, Kimonos.
I would put its manufacture 1990 or a tad before.
Very nice.
Hi,I think you have some great points but I looked at the interior construction more closely this morning and it looks like it was made in some type of factory. Some of the stitching looks like it was done on an industrial sewing machine.
