Need help identifying hat style and age

Hello All,

I wonder about this hat..... it almost looks to me like it could have been made for a costume. Any ideas on age? Would it be called a bonnet? Thank you!

I agree that your bonnet is a costume piece: it looks to be made of different components, some of which have some age but the construction is not millinery standard.

Position it further back on the head shape - the lace should be pointing skywards.

I agree it is a costume creation, probably made up mid century - the beads look like they are from some 1950's necklaces. Little Bo Peep perhaps?

I am also in the costume camp here, made of many different component from different eras, and lovely- but it would have looked even better onstage under lighting!
