Need help identifying purse

My husbands grandfather recently passed away and we are going through items at his home and we found this unusual pocketbook. I have not found any identifying marks inside the purse. They did travel internationally on occasion, so I am unsure if this is something they purchased on a trip or bought in the US. Can anyone help identify this purse or steer me in the right direction?

Hi Sheryl that looks like a nice quality bag - the clasp design is unusual. Could you please show the interior, pockets etc, the back, top and base for us please?
It has been covered in hair-on hide, to identify what sort please take some close ups of the hair, skin, if you can get to it at the edges, and any patterns.
Also can you give the size?

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I attached a picture of the inside. So far we have not found any markings to indicate the manufacturer and have not found a similar clasp anywhere online. I can get more pictures for you soon.

If that is a nylon zip I definetly think we are looking at 1960's at the earliest.
