I recently picked these boots up not sure what exactly they are. I was told they were World War 1, but I have not been able to find any other examples. Not sure if anyone here can help me but heres hoping.

Not sure why but i cant get pics to upload.
the boots are brown leather with leather soles. The soles of the heel read "ELASTO double wear"
they are approx 14-15" tall. they look similar to cav boots but they have a scalloping detail 3-4" from the top of the boot.
I will continue to try to get the pics to upload.

The pics were HUGE - I think that was the problem, you have to resize them before posting.

I don't think these are military issue boots - I have never seen any with deorative stitching, and the construction isn't quite right (its not heavy enough - WW1 military boots have thick soles with hobs in the sole, and the uppers use a heavier leather). They look like sport's boots from the 20s - for skiiing etc.

I really didnt think that they were military issue just trying to get a approx dating on them. I really havent been able to find anything like them except for a pair of officers cav boots, pre ww2.
thanks for posting the pics for me
