I bought this dress about six months ago and for me it's become a wardrobe staple.
The seller on ebay stated it was a Laura Ashley dress but when it arrived I couldn't find a label.
I am certainly no expert (still learning) but I have dated this myself as a late fifties/early sixties dress.
I am very curious about your thoughts on the matter!
If it really is a Laura Ashley dress then it can't be early sixties because they weren't around till 1966, as I've just learned.

Pics were taken after I washed it, i didn't iron it yet.

Hi Miss Absinthe - lovely dress, and it looks very nice on you.

From the fabric, print and construction it looks to be a '50s dress - probably shortened during the '60s or '80s. Not only can it not be a Laura Ashley dress, it doesn't even look like any of the LAs I've seen. I suspect your seller might be using "Laura Ashley"as a key word for floral.

Personally, I like your dress and think it's nice and the LA name doesn't add value, or rather, doesn't add any more value that it already has from being a lovely vibrant floral cotton '50s dress.

Thank you so much for your help! Then it's indeed what I suspected. I love the dress too and I wear it a lot! I got it cheap from an auction on Ebay. It doesn't really matter to me what it's worth but more if it's wearable for me and looks nice. :) I do like to learn more about my wardrobe :)
