Hi there, pretty coat. The fur type is ermine which changes from brown during the summer to white during the winter with the exception of the end of the tail which remains black all year long. The ermine pelts within your coat were harvested during the summer.
The sleeve shape as well as the shape of the coat was in fashion in the 50s. The lining was in fashion in the later 50s to 60s.
The earliest ad I could find for Lafayette furs was from December 31st, 1970.
