I inherited this jacket from my grandmother when she passed away. Unfortunately, she never shared the history of it with me. It appears to be hand-made. There is a fur labor authority label in a small pocket inside the jacket. Can anybody share any information on this style of jacket?

This looks like a swakara fur to me with a mink collar. It is from a karakul sheep.

Very pretty. The collar is indeed mink and the body is broadtail which is stillborn or unborn lamb bred by karakul sheep.
Swakara is a brand of lamb bred by karakul in South West Africa. Swakara lamb garments have Swakara labels inside.
The fur label authority label was created in 1952, was used to ascertain that fur garments were made under fair labor standards, and complied with the fur products labeling act.
I would date your jacket to the 60s. :)
