Need help identifying vintage button or clasp

This is a two piece, gold colored, clasp. It was either my great or great-great grandma's, which would date it back to the early 1900s or before. They feel fairly heavy and fit together. I do not know what type of material they are or anything about them. Would really appreciate any information at all. Thank you very much.

It looks Edwardian to me, you can see the art nouveau influence...perhaps if you have a photo of the underside it might help. Is this photo of one or both of them? It looks like a stylised butterfly or insect, but if there are two they could be worn on their side.

Are there any marks eg, hallmarks?

Vintage Buttons or Clasps

Thank you so much for your response. The picture is of the two of them together. I couldn't figure out how to post two pictures at once, so I will attach the picture of the backside to this message. There are no markings on it that I can find. I am really curious about what kind of metal it is made of. I guess I would assume bronze.

I believe that what you have is a belt buckle, and that the fabric (or whatever the belt is made of) goes through the loops. Can you show a bigger photo of the fronts so we can see the details? Your photo of the backs shows them in the position they would be worn so if you can show the reverse that would be great. I agree with Nicole that it looks Art Nouveau - so C. 1895-1915 approximately.

Here's an example I found by Googling:

Thank you all so much for your help. I have always wondered about these and if maybe they are a belt buckle. I will try to post a closer look of the front.
