Need help with a Patchwork Chinese Jacket

Good morning....I am in need of some assistance on this Chinese/Oriental jacket:

It is handcrafted with patchwork squares and applique pandas on the front and a frog on the back. The squares feature raised appliques of small bugs....are these silkworms?

And these look like spiders:

The lining has a crinkle to it.....David said it feels like rice paper. Could that be used as a lining? It also has writing on it which shows through in a few spots where there is lighter fabric on the outside. One seam is undone so I was able to turn the lining inside out to get a picture:

I am also not sure of the exact age of this jacket. Any suggestions for the correct category on ebay? Regular or vintage? And keywords......I was thinking to be sure to include Panda and Frog....any other ideas?

Thanks for your assistance...Gail

Can't help you much on this, Gail, as I know very little about these types of items, but wanted to say I find this quite striking! Oriental pieces are hard for me to date if they're in good shape because the styling is so continuous.... Is it silk? Or a high-sheen cotton? Those "bugs" look almost like they could be snakes, with those slit eyes on the head. I would also use "patchwork" as a key word to differentiate it from the brocade or jacquard patterns used in these. And "red" (I love red, so I'm partial to that KW). And authentic, since it's obviously made in the Orient. There are so many things about it that you can key on; I'd also think that handcrafted is a big plus (it would be for me).

Oriental Authentic Handcrafted Red Patchwork Panda Jacket? Yeah, not too exciting, but descriptive..... Maybe put the frog closures in a subtitle along with some of the other details?

I'm sure I haven't been much help, but I really like this! Good luck with it!
