Need Help With Dating Blouse!

I recently purchased a dozen lovely silk blouses from a 94 year old lady's estate. She and her husband travelled extensively and some of the blouses were made in Italy and all had beautiful embroidery. This one carries the Phelps label. Several of the blouses looked to be from the late 1940s and early 1950s. The ones that look like this with the embroidery have me a little puzzled.....I'm thinking early 1960s, but before I list them, I wanted to check with those who would know. I really appreciate any dating assistance I can get! Thanks in advance.View attachment 28967View attachment 28967

Another 60s vote on this one. I used to buy very similar blouses to yours back in the 60s and even early 70s at a shop on our main downtown street in Montreal.
Mine were made in China though and had either covered buttons or mother of pearl.

My mother has three pieces of such a blouse which are fully and delicately embroidered and made in Hangzhou city, China in 70-80s. That city is well known as Chinese embroidery until now. All her blouses are light and moderate color, such as nude color, light lavender, mint green. I know she love them so much since all are well-preserved.

Hello Bonnie, I posted some pics of my mother's blouses with Chinese hand embroidery from which you can take a reference. One label of three pieces is called "Da Fu Gui", means wealth and flourish in English. I am enchanted with this nude color which is so delicately embroidered.
Nude color : label- Da Fu Gui mmexport1400563730569.jpg mmexport1400563769096.jpg mmexport1400563777969.jpg mmexport1400564394550.jpg
Mint green: label - Peacock mmexport1400564007334.jpg mmexport1400564017968.jpg mmexport1400564011374.jpg (because of light issue the color is distorted)
Lavender: label - FloArte mmexport1400565058163.jpg mmexport1400565032190.jpg

Your blouses are lovely and how fortunate you are to have your Mother's little treasures! I have come across a number of these types of blouses with labels stating that they were made in Shanghai, China, but with all of the ones that I recently acquired, none had that type of label. Several had just the "Pure Silk" label sewn into the collar and the one was "Phelps" label. I have one that was made in Italy with a little different detail and that looks to be late 1950s. I guess that's why I thought these might be a bit older----60s. I have always loved this type of embroidery. Take care of those beautiful blouses and enjoy them!

I am so curious about two brands you said, one is "pure silk", which should be the material IMO, are you sure is it the name of brand? another is "phelps", which is so weird because most of brands name in that time of China should be more traditional and chinese. Even if being translated in English, it should be translated directly. But that name "Phelps" sounds so western, man's name, so I am interested in such a name. Do these two labels have any Chinese words? Could you show me if you are convenient?

No, "Pure Silk" is the only words that are on the label in the collar. There is no maker's name on the label. And, as you can see from the photo of the label at the beginning of this thread, "Phelps"(an English company, I believe) is the maker and that one was "hand embroidered in Madeira", which is the Island of Madeira. If you go to my shop on Ruby Lane, I have listed both of these items and I have a brief description there.
