Need Help with Vintage Fendi clutch

I acquired this clutch during an Estate Sale and wanted to find out if anyone can confirm the authenticity and possibly date of this clutch. It has a Fendi Original gold stamp on the inside, but this is the only branding. The clutch was with a bunch of clothing and hats from the 40's and 50's, and I am wondering if this particular piece is a fairly early Fendi, or not a Fendi at all. I have attached all the pics I have, it has quite a few age spots but from the outside it is a really nice piece. Any help with the date or authenticity of this piece would be much appreciated!

Agree with MJ on a '60s date, or maybe into the early '70s - I like the oval button on the front.

I found a number of '60s handbags from Rendl Original on google - it seems they were an upmarket brand. Certainly their bags are nice designs and quality, with lots of skins like crocodile and lizard. One ebay listing referred to the company as a "very popular mid-century New York luxury brand"

Thank you so much. If anyone has tips on removing stains or whether to remove them or just leave them, I'd love to be able to clear or at least improve the stain spots visible in pic 003892. This clutch was kept in a box in an attic for 20 years, so the marks could have been there for a long time. More than likely its mildew, sigh. Very sad to find so many beautiful things not stored correctly!
Thanks everyone for your help, I'm just starting to learn about all this and it's fascinating!
