When I received this hat pin it was attached to a 30's hat that it was obviously not original to. I'm getting a more 40's or 50's vibe to it. Any ideas? Thanks!

There's something odd about the proportion of the hatpin. Looks as if the two paste/diamante balls were added.

Hi,
Can't be sure on these, as millinery shops would often make up their own hatpins to suit the hat they were making for a customer. The diamante balls were probably, as pointed out, added to a basic pearl headed hatpin. Looks to be from the mid to late 1950's. I have seen similar hatpins on some of my 1950's hats.
