Hi Everyone!
I found this belt in a thrift store recently, and I was wondering if anyone could tell if it was vintage or of newer make. I realize that such a plain and simple design might present difficulties in determining age.
Also, assuming of course that it is real, would it be real zebra or dyed calf fur? (If someone knows it's obviously a fake for some reason or another please tell!)
Although my new old camera takes much better macros than my old old camera, the marks on the back don't come out well. I tried to go CSI on it by dusting it with cornstarch for contrast but all that did was make a mess. The markings read "Made in Italy" "RE-0018" and "Christian Dior Paris" Front is 3 panels of fur, back is 2 pieces of leather. Buckle is marke d with "Dior" on lower left.
