This should be simple for those of you with experience... however, I have looked through the resource section and looked at Google images for quite a while now and I'm still not sure. I usually find and deal with vintage lingerie from either the 30s or the 60's/70's and I am most familiar with those decades, when it comes to lingerie anyway, so this one has me a little stumped.
I am thinking 40's or 50's? There are no tags of any kind anywhere, and the fabric is throwing me. I have not done any tests, just going by feel /touch... was a rayon and nylon blend possible? Because that's what it is reminding me of. I suppose if I had to choose one I'd say it feels a bit more like rayon than nylon and seems a bit heavier.
You should be able to see from the photos, it has smocking details at the waist, along the neckline, as well as a tiny hem of lace, and the little sewn on ribbons at the shoulders and waist appear to be original. There is no elastic anywhere.
Thanks so much in advance for help with this. Oh, and the color is a bit more subdued than the photos show.. it was my flash making it a brighter shade of seafoam/light aqua than it is in person.
