Now that its lightened it looks like something from the fall 39 collections - Schiaparelli showed a lot of heavy fur trims - cuffs, collars. The military collar, self covered buttons and buckled belt all fit in with other garments I have seen from 39 collections... The purple suit I have illustrated in Forties fashion on page 25 could be from the same collection! (no fur though) but same design principles.
