Neiman-Marcus 100% Camel Hair Cardigan ~ Year?? TIA

I'm trying to date a Neiman-Marcus 100% camel hair cardigan sweater and can't find any label information on this one. Thanks for any help on this.

Does it have any care or size labels? I'm thinking '80s but if it were, it should have them - if it doesn't, then perhaps it's '60s.

Interesting NM label - it's very different to the ones in the label resource. Perhaps you might like to submit it for inclusion once the date has been determined?

I think this is a somewhat more contemporary label for NM. I'm getting an 80's to 90's vibe, on this very nice cashmere sweater.

It doesn't have a size tag, but does have a care label. Does that make a difference?

A sweater of this era would have a care label, by necessity.
Are the buttons leather?

I think that the buttons are leather.

I think it's late '70's - around the time of "Annie Hall" - Maybe earlier. Care labels were mandated in 1971. I just looked at the buttons and it looks like they are on the right side - so it may be a men's cardigan.

How is it proportioned?

I believe it's a men's cardigan. The chest is about 44".

That's what I thought. It's a really classic style but I still think it's late '70's or early '80's.

I think it is 70s, probably later than earlier. The cuffs, pocket plackets or "flaps," and the leather buttons all say 70s to me.

Hi! Fab sweater! Interesting little "logo" on the label too. If we go by the NM label timeline in Nicole's post, the font on labels changed from block letters to script between the late 40s & 50s. Will be interesting to see the date confirmation bc font will return back to block letters at a later date. Could you post a photo of the care label? I am having fun learning about these fashion tidbits too. Thanks for the contribution!
