Gotcha... I don't know not earliest ever, but way eralier than Ive ever seen.... I was thinking 30s on this and KK is thinking late 20s. may be earliest of 1930s.. what do yall think, even though I trust KK I am trying to get more info on this one

I have 2 goals with posting this.... #1 help with date....#2 is this worth anything? is it sought after or collectable? it has issues, is it worth selling or preserving ( I would rather it be preserved as best as possible! )

The ourter material is in ecellent cond... but the silk lining is falling out of it (dry rot), I am lucky the label is still attached! I dont know if it would bring money or not in its state. Actually I am sure it would but if anyone is good with this sorta thing like relinning it please let me know or should i just sell this one as is and hope a true collector gets their hand on it?

thank you all....

OOf - great coat and ... uh... yes... it is worth $omething. I would definitely not fool around with the lining. I wonder if when you say "dry rot" it's really that the silk is shattering - very common with older, finer silk. I've done well with the (white fox?) collars by themselves. And what a great label. I was thinking more along the late 20's line as well, but I go by my gut, and look forward to other members' opinions.

I would think it is more the early part of the 1930s. I am also wondering if it has not been shortened, the hemline appears uneven in the photo and it is an unusual length for either the late 20s or early 30s. It's a nice piece however and I am sure someone would like it, so would be worth selling. I would not personally pay out money to redo the lining. I would sell it "AS IS" and leave that up to the buyer.

Thank you ladies.. yes is shattering I guess... am I allowed to ask whata fair Buy it now price would be? and yes white fox I think
