Neiman Marcus Straw Purse Date and Description HELP Please!

Thanks to Melody's book, I ventured out of my comfort zone and bought this lovely purse. (I also bought my first vintage hat!) My first vintage purse purchase.

I have some idea as to age but I'm not sure if I'm in the right ballpark.

Your thoughts on age?? Description?? Other photo angles for purses??

I have a collection of New Look era purses, but am not extremely familiar with later styles. BUT yours seems similar to the styles my mom carried in the late 70's to early 80's. Hope this helps.

I was thinking it was 60's or 70's but that's why I asked! Guess it is a bit later than I thought.

I would say probably late 70s, and those Italian bags were generally of terrific quality (and Neiman-Marcus carrying it would verify that!), and I have never had a problem selling them for pretty decent money! Yours looks like it has the nicer fabric lining that I like in these bags.

Vicki, I'd meant to say in my other post that by "decent money" I don't mean oodles of dough! but often enough for between around $25 and $50--which, considering what I pay for bags, makes for a pretty good profit! (I've got one right now priced higher, and it hasn't sold, but I'm not dropping the price as it's pretty unique....)
