Just wrote a new article for Tidbits today on one of my favorite topics, sidesaddle riding habits!
This one is part one in a series covering the riding habit from the early Victorian era to the 1910's.

You know what? I have absolutely no idea!:BAGUSE: I shall have to look into this. It's something I never thought about.

I always thought liquid starch was added to the "rinse water" (just before taking the garment out of the wash tub) in the same way liquid fabric softener is added last.
