LOL, you are welcome to come over although I must warn you that finding these things often requires waking up at 4am on a Sunday morning and driving 200+ miles but it's all worth it in the end when you see the glint of silk taffeta poking out from under a something (although try telling that to Gary as he's the one who has to drive me and then get up for work the next day!)

I find the black dress so frustrating as it fits me measurement wise but is a bit too short for my 5'9" height! So close, yet so far!
If I was a bit shorter it would have been fine and I would have kept it as I love bias cut things, they suit my hourglass figure.

Ah, Lei, I am short enough that it would fit me, but my measurements are a hair too large right now. If I were at my "correct" size, this would fit me perfectly!

It's very hard for me to find vintage short enough, especially the older items, as they seem all to have been longish....

I will draw inspiration from this, and get myself back down to my hourglass size 12 figure if it kills me!!!!!

I ironed it inside out on a low synthetic setting with loads of steam to try and "puff" put the fibers at a microscopic level and it did dull the shine a bit on the skirt. The sleeves were too fiddly for me to try more invasive steaming but I think though that if I had this steamer and then reironed on a low setting, the shine probably would have come out a bit more.

Anne, I was a UK size 16/18 (US 16) (about 218 lbs) at the beginning of the year and then in Janury started doing the Paul McKenna Will Make You Thin program and am now a UK size 12/14 (about a US 10/12 and 168 lbs). It's SO EASY and you can eat whatever you want, it's all about changing your psychology of how you see food and bad habits (eating when not hungry, eating to the point of bursting at buffets).
Whether you need to loose 5, 10 or 100+ pounds, Paul McKenna works!

I wouldn't mind getting that steamer from Santa!

Four am you say? I think I'll follow Mary Jane instead - cheaper and most likely later in the day!

Did you get your learner's permit yet, Lei?

I have my learner's liciense (you have to have that to take driving lessons) but I've not got my normal liciense yet and can't see that happening any time soon either. Don't have the cash to pay for lessons yet and I much prefer riding horses to driving cars. I was born 100 years too late :)
