... and I need one more outfit. Traditional 40's -60's dress or suit for breakfast at Brennans. I'm thinking along the lines of maybe? Jackie O style.

The weather should be in the mid to hi 70's.

No black - both my other outfits are black.

I'm a modern day size 6 and rather tall. Long sleeves need to be 23" minimum.

I'm thinking I can go about $50 for the right ensemble. Sorry, but I'm po white folk.

also, won't be serious about buying for about a month, but wanted to begin my quest.

And I'm sure I must have something in your size--I bought an estate lot that has mostly size 4, 6, and 8 in it, and there are a lot of suits. I have silk sheath dresses with matching lightweight mohair sweaters that would be nice in NO in October, dresses w/matching jackets, and 2 pc skirt suits--sophisticated but not too formal, perfect for Brennan's for breakfast!

I would have 50s or 60s, and since many of these are runway samples, they would be OK for a taller person. The designer whose estate these came from was petite, but this lot includes samples & runway pieces, not just her own wardrobe. Very little is black--she used lots of color--prints as well as pastel & midtone solids.

If you can give me an idea of what style/color you'd prefer, I'll see what I have. I have several things I could do in that price range.

(take a look at my Ruby Lane shop and my website--I have a few things listed from that estate & you can sort of get an idea of her styling, which is typically very classic & tailored--not a lot of frou frou fussy things. And classic is what you want for the type of thing you're talking about, I think!)
 
Leisa, I have a robin's egg blue linen/silk blend from this estate listed in my Babylon Mall shop. It's shown without a matching sweater, but I have at least one that would go with this. I actually think it came with one, but they weren't packed together, so I have them as separates. I got my dress from Anne. Love it & it fits really well!

I'm still looking for a couple of day dresses.

NOLA will be in the 80's during the day. I have my dinner attire together, so just need some 40s-50s shirtwaist type dresses.

I'm (still) a modern day size 6 with a long-ish waist. And if it's long sleeves, they have to be minuium 23" but I'd prefer 3/4.
