New York Pattern Company

Does anyone have knowledge or a link to a good resource for NY pattern Co history? I find very little on line, just a mention of 1932 as their origination year, but nothing to support that, and no other info.
I just acquired three early NY patterns. All have the sewing instructions printed on the inside of the envelope itself, some of the labeling is done by hand, not typed, and are inside glassine sleeves. One has an NRA stamp. It seems like these would be very early NYPCo patterns, but I’d love to have facts to back it up
Thanks! Ronda

It’s kind of surprising with all of the different pattern co. histories that there wouldn’t be an article about founders, designers, where they sold, etc. Even pattern wikia didn’t have anything more that the 1932 date. Thanks for the help!

That's interesting! My book on vintage sewing patterns (which pas published in the 90s) also says the company was established in 1932 - and existed until the late 40s or early 50s. It doesn't have much more information either. The patterns I've had in my own shop so far were all from the 40s.

There are so many great pattern companies out there and often there is very little information to be found about them unless they survived into current times.
