WOW! If you're an info-news-geek, you will be quite interested in this NEWS ARTICLE which covers so many current issues.

VERY informative! I thought it was interesting.

The main topic is pollution and recycling. But, besides environmental issues, it touches on global economy issues such as oil, trade, cheap goods, waste, poverty, designer bags and designers, health, and everything but the kitchen sink and wildlife, although I'm sure you can fill in the blanks regarding the condition of the local wildlife!

Thanks Janine, thats a great article. I was just commisioned to write a short piece for the Manhattan Vintage show on why buying vintage is green. The research I did was a real eye opener. I knew the textile industries were major contributors to pollution but I never knew just how bad it is. Regions like the Aral Sea (cotton production) have been totally devastated. Anyway it is nice to be part of a profession (vintage) that includes Fashion AND is 100% green!
