Hi!!

Hope everyone had a grand weekend! Mine was pretty good, busy busy! My fiancé painted a sailor jerry style mural on a friend's wall (2 swallows about 4 feet each holding a banner) & we worked on eBay! I always forget just HOW much work eBay is!
Anyhoo... long story on this suit. I actually listed it last year AND sold it (to a friend of a friend), who then losted her job. I felt bad, so I let her back out of the deal. At the time I was so *done* selling on eBay, I didn't immediately relist it. Anyhoo, even back when I posted this on the eBay boards, I never got a firm date on it. It's def custom made... and although I know I'm selling it a bit late in the "winter/fur" season, I'm hoping it'll do well. I paid quite a bit for it, so I don't want to let if go too cheaply, though it does have to leave my closet. Any ideas on kw's etc? Also, what fur do you think this might be? And is aqua the right color?

Oh, and it's a TOTAL custom job! There are NOOOOOO tags on it. I bought 2 suits originally, the other was an old school apple green w/fur wedding ring collar & has long been sold.

1960's. That is very Jackie Kennedy. That skirt is quite short too. They weren't going above the knee until the 60s.

It's SO tiny too - the skirt barelyyyyy fits onto the mannequin, def for a more "petite" gal.
Any thoughts on what the fur might be? Also, what is the proper name of the fabric?
 
I'm pretty sure that's mink. It's a beautiful suit and I would call it aqual blue, might add turquoise for good measure.

That looks like blond mink (I think blond is the correct term) and I believe the fabric is a boucle.

Those buttons are more interesting than the collar, as far as I'm concerned.:bouncy:

I don't know the measurements off hand, but I *think* my manni has a 26 or 28 waist.
