Would appreciate help confirming a 60's date!!

Thanks!

Also love the pressing instructions and oh yeah I'm going to remove all buttons and hemp (where ever that might be) before cleaning.

You should send that tag to lizzie for the MC collection.

Especially since the designer name is spelled exactly like the singer/composer from the 70's.

"When you're down and troubled and you need some love and care,
and nothing, nothing is going right,
close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest night.

You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am,
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call
and I'll be there
You've got a friend."

Karin - The waist is super tiny! About an XS. The rest of the skirt and the jacket are more like a medium! She has "Barbie" measurments! LOL

Reading that tag...I felt like an elderly aunt or my mom was chewing me out.

Yes ma'am, I'll do better next time about remembering what warm NOT HOT is.

Ugh, even worse, that waist is even too small for me, and it's definitely too big around the bust. Definitely one for a living Barbie Doll... ;)

Unless these pieces are mismated, I would think this would be for a smaller gal and the jacket is just suppsed to be roomier. Some gals were still wearing some sort of foundation in the early to mid 60s and maybe some diehards were still in the late 60s, so it wouldn't be unreasonable for a gal with a naturally 25, 26ish waist to be wearing this if she had naturally narrow hips. I wear skirts that are 2" in the hips bigger than my real hips most of the time, so if that theory applied, she would have 32-33" hips. Being a smaller gal, even if she naturally had a 24" waist it wouldn't be Barbie doll out of proportion. Let's say she has an hourglass figure and her bust is about 33", then there are a few inches in the coat to wear a woolly, comfy sweater under it. It doesn't seem to be a fitted, tailored style anyway.

Patentleathershoes - Thanks! I personally have Marilyn like curves. I discovered what hourglass was in middle school and the complexities of finding clothes to wear!!

Just kidding about the Barbie doll :spin:. I could do almost 24" in the waist with the required foundations, but that wouldn't be comfortable for every day wear, which is what I would buy something like this for. It's something else with a cocktail or party dress that I don't wear 9 hours a day or more. As the jacket isn't fitted, it would just be too big, as I do sadly not have an hour-glass figure... :saint:.
