Not a fob, finial or a tassel.. what do you call it?

its little rolled lace "tassels" at the end of a tie on a peignioir.. but tassels are always fringe, arent they?

any suggestions as to what i can call these, they are cute.

huh. i don't know. would it be the same thing (sort of) like an aglet? (or aiglet) those plastic dealies on the tips of shoe strings??

and btw, its GREAT to see you again, Von!!! :hiya:

Perhaps a galloon? Though some references say the edges of a galloon are scalloped... I really don't know, but I also think that tassels don't necessarily have to end in a fringe, and that buyers are much more familiar with tassel. You could call it a "tassel-like" decorative tie ending....

Thanks everyone! glad i'm not crazy and there isnt such a term.. lol.. i coulda' swore there was something.

Debbie.. i did similar, just said "rolled lace on the end of each tie"

thanks again you guys!

I'd say lace tassel which, strictly speaking, is inaccurate but gives a clear image. I just spent five lovely minutes searching 'passementerie' to try and find the answer. I didn't, but I did see some gorgeous things. Thanks for the diversion!

I'm sure it's not the proper term, but I call them fluffy tufts! Thanks for bringing this topic up, Von.
