I need help-

Does anybody know what "style" or kind of chandelier or ceiling light this is?

A friend told me hand painted Italian but I can't find anything like it when I searched the web.

Great chandelier! The painting on it does look like an Italian hand-painted motif, but these patterns were "copied" in some Mexican and Japanese ceramic ware, too.

I did find modern hand-painted Italian chandeliers online, so it's certainly possible yours is that! I don't think the styling has a particular name (it looks like a Williamsburg chandelier, but it's not all brass); it's a pretty classic look....

I also think the there is some ceramic from Portugal which looks like this too.
