Not Vintage Clothes, But A Nice Surprise!

I recently went to the last day of a 4 day estate sale. Everything there was 75% off. I picked up this print....

because I liked the old frame and thought I could frame something else in it. When I took it apart to clean it, I found this underneath.

It is the "Good Ship Adventure" by R. Atkinson Fox. I was so excited. It was like finding buried treasure!

Nice find, Carrie. It's always wise to check under old prints, we have found some very interesting prints hiding behind the visible one.

Yes, I've done very well with discovering neat things hidden behind mediocre prints. My favorite find was when I purchased an old frame with an ugly magazine cut-out geranium in it. When I took it apart I found an original etching by one of the Prairie Printmakers (Charles Capps) and I ended up selling it for just over $350. Did I mention I bought it for 25 cents! :jawdrop:
