A long day but a good one!

Mine and Lei's stalls (mine on right of photo, Lei's on the left)

Me looking a little tired (feet starting to ache)

Lei looking brilliant!

Best sellers for me were belts and bags - I think because it was more then 50% university students, as we had assumed it would be being in their union.

I bought some (more) platforms, and a purple 70s does 40s suit. And a very silly 70s top with much smocking and big sleeeves.. all of which I have left round at my Mum's as I unloaded a lot of stock there because you cannot get parked on my street after 5pm however determined you may be!

Shall provide pics soon, of course!

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pix. The camera was left in the car and Gary couldn't be bothered to go back to the car park to get it :(

It is a one day fair which is probably best for poor Edwin after all the work he does on the day running the fair.

That white corset is from my collection. I'm selling it to try and raise funds to pay for my driving lessons :D
Best sellers for me were extra small and small sized hourglass 50's dresses. Sold quite a few pairs of small sized seamed stockings. Mind you, I keep all the large sizes for me to wear!!

Bought a lovely 1860's dress, some seamed stockings for me from Harriet, 2 50's crinolines, a girdle, a 50's boned bustier and a 1962 Miss Twifit corset shop display form for my collection.
There were LOADS of 30's- 50's shoes in my size which I so desperately wanted including a purple silk 1930's pair but the whole point was to sell not to buy!!

Thanks Harriet for posting the pix!

Great pictures, Both of you look fantastic, by now you know my views seen in vintage...
I have to say I am at a loss to work out if it ends up a selling or buying day.

Yes, definitely more selling than buying but you can't go to a vintage fair and not come out with at least one thing! I think we were being very good at the fair though!:D
I had seen the Twilfit corset form at the Bristol fair for £50. I was going to go back at the end and buy it but forgot. Then the same sellers were at this fair and sold it to me for £35 so I grabbed it!
It has a date of November 17, 1962 written at the bottom so quite a nice thing for my collection.

I've lost a couple of more pounds but nothing dramatic. I was wearing my corset as the rib area on my dress was tight and didn't want to stress the seams on the dress as it's taffeta so I wore my corset to shave off a couple of inches so as not to strain the dress. Wasn't laced too tightly though or else the dress would have ended up being too big but only a couple of inches down from my normal size.
