Nylon dress with spiral belt loop details.

Hi, Any idea when this dress is from?

Feels like nylon (almost positive about this). It is store-bought (no manuf label, but Lot/Size label).

Has a metal "GENIE" back zip. Unlined. It MAY have had shoulder pads (one side has some loose threads where pads would go). Pattern appears to be printed on the fabric, not woven in.

The spiral doo-dads at the hips serve as the front belt loops (original belt missing -- shown with and without a random belt that fit the loops). Also show a photo of it unclipped. It's a larger size (b 40, w 35, h 41, tot lngth nape-hem 36.5).

Thanks for your help/opinion.

Sorry didn't see "metal" in OP. From the photos I would say no earlier than 1960s, but I'm sure someone with more experience will come along with a more educated opinion.

Want to get it listed, but really not sure which decade to put. I'm gonna go with 50s, and state my uncertainty. Experts, please correct me if you've a clear idea of the precise date. Thanks!

I do not think it is 1950s - I would say 60s at the earliest but there is something about it giving me a later feel. I realize it has metal zipper but that doesn't necessarily mean it cant be a little later. It is very cute and I love rosettes at waist.

hmmm - going to stick with 60s now...I missed your unlined part and in the picture I was seeing a lining...I think that lining (that isnt really lining) was throwing me off a bit making it look later.
